The Society aims to promote Gloucester cattle through:

• Education of the public
• Support to pedigree breeders and members
• Provision of open information
• Conduct and dissemination of technical research

Currently with 120 members across the United Kingdom, the Society has a formal constitution for governance and is managed by a volunteer Council elected by members.
